Gonia — Slab Serif, Built for Scale
Gonia is a slab-serif typeface family designed to function at all sizes. It offers a large range of weights, staying functional and legible in small sizes while revealing finer details in larger point sizes. The very heavy Black weight draws attention, while the lighter weights support a more balanced reading experience.
A true italic adds clear visual distinction from the roman, which helps with emphasis and hierarchy in editorial and brand typography. Gonia also includes a series of OpenType features and an extended character set that covers most European languages. It is available as static, single-weight Postscript OpenType fonts (OTF) or as a single Variable font with two axes.
